I was originally born and raised in Kaohsiung, and had been working in Taipei for several years. It was not until lately I started to work in Taichung and found this place attractive. Although it is only number three (3) city in Taiwan, but it's great location in the middle part of Taiwan does give a lot of convenience to going around everywhere and it is not as crowded as Taipei nor as polluted as Kaohsiung.
The parks in the city are not big at all, but it is enough for you to take a good breath during your busy working days. With the combination policy of Taichung city and county, now it is even easier for you to say that Taichung has many attractions that one could easily reach from sea to mountain during weekends.
